1.) No God-moding-- God-moding or sometimes called puppet mastery, is when you control other characters. Even if you have more than one character in a RPG you MAY NOT control them. If you even control a character slightly you will get warned and asked to modify your post. If you get more than three warnings, banning will occur.
2.) Do not SPAM--SPAM is defined as:
2 sentence role play post that goes no where
Out of Character chatting in the middle of a RP
We generally ask that a post contain at least one paragraph (five sentences), although we understand that five sentences aren't always needed to get your point across. Any post that contains less than five sentences, but still contributes to the conversation will not be considered SPAM. Never feel that you can't ask someone to clarify themselves if you don't understand what is going on. That is not SPAM. Any post in the Out of Character boards will not be considered SPAM of any sort. Just in the RPGs. If you feel the need to talk out of your character in a post, simple put ((OOC: then type your message and end with ))
3.) Grammar and spelling--Just because this isn't a RP site for a series of books or movies, that doesn't mean you can't be courteous and use proper spelling and grammar. Net speak is usually pretty hard to read, especially for the older members around here (and there are some, believe it or not ) For example, which of these is easier to read:
i luv vampirez
or
I love vampires!
See what I mean? Now, we understand that not every person can use 100% proper grammar at all times, and we won't yell at you for one or two grammatical mistakes within a post, just please try to pay attention to what your are typing.
Caps are considered yelling many places on the Internet. Here is one of those places. Please don't yell at us, we understand you in your normal voice just fine.
4.) No personal attacks-- Not everyone will get along with everyone, and that is understandable, but please, if you have an issue with someone, please send a PM to a moderator or me so that we can help you work it out. No one wants to be called names. In the rare case that a problem cannot be solved, it's suggested that you agree to disagree, and please don't go out of your way to rile each other up.
5.) No starting a thread just to advertise-- If you do so, the post will be deleted and you will receive one warning. We work too hard on this site just to have people join just to have them advertise their own site. There is, however, a board, Chatter Box, is a place where you may put up a link to your site, if you so wish.
6.) No mod bashing-- Try to be patient with the mods. There are only so many of us to go around, and we work hard to take care of every problem, however it may take a little time to get your problem solved. Also, if you have a problem with a specific mod, please send a PM to me, and I will help you settle your problem. Also, please be aware that we are only human and will make mistakes from time to time. Nobody's perfect.
If you follow the above rules, I'm sure we'll all get along fine!
